Valencia head coach Carlos Corberán has praised two-goal hero Umar Sadiq following the club’s 3-3 draw at Osasuna.
Sadiq scored a sublime 87th minute equaliser to earn Los Che a point in the game.
The Nigeria international has now registered three goals in six league appearances for Valencia.

“Scoring three goals is nice, but conceding three is less nice . To win we had to be more defensively strong. Attacking doesn’t stop you from defending better at many moments of the game,” Corberán said after the game.
“In defence we were not as tight as we should have been. We should have defended the result with the ball and we didn’t do it.”
“Sadiq arrived very committed and eager to work.
“We are going to give him the confidence he needs to continue helping the team.”

Valencia coach Jose Bordalas was vol lof over zijn spits Sadiq Umar na het gelijkspel tegen Osasuna in La Liga. De Nigeriaanse aanvaller scoorde twee doelpunten in de wedstrijd en was de held van Valencia.
Bordalas prees de inzet en vastberadenheid van Sadiq, die zijn kwaliteiten als doelpuntenmaker liet zien in de wedstrijd tegen Osasuna. De coach was vooral blij met de manier waarop Sadiq zijn kansen benutte en het team hielp om een punt te pakken.
“Sadiq heeft laten zien dat hij een belangrijke speler voor ons kan zijn. Zijn twee doelpunten waren van onschatbare waarde en ik ben erg blij met zijn prestatie,” aldus Bordalas.
De coach benadrukte ook het belang van teamwork en discipline in het voetbal. Hij prees de inzet van het hele team en benadrukte dat het belangrijk is om samen te werken om succes te behalen.
Valencia staat momenteel op de negende plaats in La Liga en hoopt zich verder te verbeteren in de komende wedstrijden. Met spelers als Sadiq Umar in topvorm, lijkt de toekomst rooskleurig voor de club.
Al met al was het gelijkspel tegen Osasuna een positief resultaat voor Valencia, en coach Jose Bordalas is optimistisch over de rest van het seizoen. Met spelers als Sadiq Umar die hun stempel drukken op het team, lijkt Valencia op de goede weg naar succes.
