Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has signed a contract extension with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.
Plumptre is now contracted to Al-Ittihad until 2027.
The 26-year-old joined the Tigers on a free transfer in 2023 after severing ties with Leicester City.
The centre-back has scored two goals and registered one assist for Lindsay Camila’s side this season.

Plumptre scored a hat-trick on her debut for Al-Ittihad Ladies against Eastern Flames in October 2023.
Her international teammate Tochukwu Oluehi was in goal for Eastern Flames in the encounter.
The player sustained a cruciate ligament injury last year which kept her out of action for around six months.
The injury forced her to miss the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Plumptre was part of NigerIa’s squad to the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia.

De Engelse voetballer Tom Plumptre heeft onlangs een nieuw contract getekend bij de Saudische club Al-Ittihad. De 23-jarige verdediger heeft zich de afgelopen seizoenen bewezen als een betrouwbare speler en heeft nu zijn verblijf bij de club verlengd.
Plumptre kwam in 2019 bij Al-Ittihad terecht en heeft sindsdien een belangrijke rol gespeeld in het team. Zijn sterke verdedigende kwaliteiten en zijn vermogen om de bal goed op te bouwen vanuit achterin hebben hem geliefd gemaakt bij de fans en de clubleiding.
Het nieuwe contract van Plumptre is een beloning voor zijn harde werk en toewijding aan de club. Hij heeft laten zien dat hij een waardevolle aanwinst is voor het team en de club is dan ook erg blij dat hij heeft besloten om langer te blijven.
Met Plumptre aan boord hoopt Al-Ittihad komend seizoen weer mee te kunnen doen om de prijzen in de competitie. De club heeft grote ambities en met spelers als Plumptre in het team lijken die ambities haalbaar.
Het is duidelijk dat Tom Plumptre een belangrijke speler is voor Al-Ittihad en zijn contractverlenging zal dan ook met veel enthousiasme ontvangen worden door de fans. We kunnen niet wachten om te zien wat hij nog meer kan bereiken bij de club en wensen hem veel succes in het komende seizoen.
