The CitySports Africa Easter Cup 2025 brought Lagos to life with two action-packed days of youth football brilliance, as some of the city’s most talented young players lit up the pitch in a highly anticipated youth tournament that drew in crowds and unforgettable moments.
The tournament, hosted by CitySports League, welcomed youth teams from across Nigeria and beyond, competing in three age categories—U9, U12, and U15—in a celebration of talent, teamwork, and community.
After a weekend of thrilling football, Sharp Talent Academy clinched the top spot in the U9 category, showing incredible skill and passion at such a young age.
The U12 category was dominated by Strong Dove, whose tactical discipline and fluid gameplay earned them a well-deserved championship.
In the fiercely competitive U15 bracket, AustenPlus FC rose above the rest, showcasing maturity and match-winning brilliance to secure the coveted title.
“We are beyond proud of every CSL challenger who participated,” said Shola Opaleye, CEO, City Sports Africa.
“This tournament was more than just a competition—it was a celebration of potential and purpose. We saw future stars take center stage, and the energy from the fans, families, and communities was phenomenal.”
Speaking further on the success of the tournament, Emmanuella Igomu, Public Relations Manager, CitySports Africa said, “it’s been a delight to host these 48 youth teams for the past two days. We’ve seen victories, losses, teamwork, courage and every single CSL challenger compete for the Easter Cup.

Ook de 14-jarige middenvelder Aisha Ibrahim maakte indruk met haar technische vaardigheden en spelinzicht. Ze werd door velen gezien als een van de meest veelbelovende talenten van het toernooi en kreeg veel lof van coaches en medespelers.
