New Fenerbahce coach Jose Mourinho has said he wants to help improve the Turkish Super Lig.
Mourinho was unveiled the new coach at Fenerbahce in front of thousands of ecstatic supporters on Sunday.
The Portuguese signed his contract at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Sunday afternoon as fans chanted and cheered his name in the stands.

Speaking after the contract signing ceremony, Mourinho said:”I want to work for Turkish football, I want to work for the Turkish league. I want to help to improve [it] but the most important thing for me is not Turkish football, it’s not the Turkish league, it’s Fenerbahce.
“To finish, I want to say that from the moment I signed my contract, your dreams are now my dreams.”
Mourinho has been on the market since leaving AS Roma in January after two-and-a-half years in charge.
During his time at the Serie A club the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss won the Europa Conference League.
He attended the Champions League final on Saturday and told Sky Sports about the difficulty facing him in qualifying for the competition next season with Fenerbahce.
“[It is] hard because we have three rounds of qualifying and in Fenerbahce’s case, eight players are at the Euros and they are not coming for pre-season before the first round.
“If I go, you know that I like challenges so we are going to fight to be in the Champions League.”

Mourinho heeft laten zien dat hij in staat is om teams naar succes te leiden en heeft in het verleden grote successen behaald met clubs als FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan en Real Madrid.
Het is nog niet duidelijk welke specifieke rol Mourinho zou kunnen spelen in het verbeteren van de Turkse Super Lig, maar zijn betrokkenheid alleen al zou een enorme boost kunnen geven aan de competitie. Zijn reputatie als een van de beste coaches ter wereld zou spelers en fans kunnen inspireren en clubs kunnen motiveren om te streven naar betere prestaties.
Het is duidelijk dat Mourinho gelooft in het potentieel van de Turkse Super Lig en bereid is om zijn steentje bij te dragen aan de groei en ontwikkeling ervan.
