Etta Love, Teen World Record-Holder, Pursues Olympic Weightlifting Dream

Etta Love, a teenage weightlifter from California, has been making waves in the world of Olympic weightlifting. At just 17 years old, she already holds multiple world records in her age group and has her sights set on competing in the Olympics.

Love first discovered her passion for weightlifting at the age of 13 when she joined her high school’s weightlifting team. Despite being one of the youngest members on the team, she quickly rose through the ranks and began competing in national and international competitions.

In 2019, Love made headlines when she broke the world record for the clean and jerk in the 59kg weight class for girls under 17. She followed this up with another world record in the snatch later that year.
