Former Arsenal star, Ray Palour has revealed that the Three Lions of England will get to the semi finals of the Euro 2024 without Jack Grealish.
He made this known in an interview with TribalFootball, where he said that the England team have a capable midfielders that can stand their own at the tournament.

“On a positive note, you want to lose a game like that before you start, but it’s certainly not ideal,” says Ray Parlour on England losing their final game before the Euro’s. For the first time in 56 years England travel to an international tournament having lost their final friendly before the actual tournament.
“I’m sure people who’ve not been included in the squad, like Jack Grealish, will be looking at that and think ‘well, this is interesting’. They’ve got to improve on that performance. Iceland were pretty much in control. I thought they played really well.
“But again, sometimes you want to get a bad performance out of the way. You don’t want it in a tournament, if you can help it, because you could be on your way home very, very quickly. So, as Gareth Southgate said after the game; ‘I learned a lot of things tonight’. It’ll be interesting to see what he’s learned.”
Engeland kan Euro 2024 halve finales bereiken zonder Grealish – Parlour

Ondanks het feit dat sterspeler Jack Grealish mogelijk niet beschikbaar zal zijn voor de halve finales, gelooft voormalig international Ray Parlour dat Engeland nog steeds een goede kans maakt om de laatste vier te bereiken.
Grealish, die momenteel speelt voor Manchester City, heeft een belangrijke rol gespeeld in het succes van het Engelse team de afgelopen jaren. Zijn creativiteit en dribbelvaardigheden hebben de ploeg geholpen om moeilijke wedstrijden te winnen en belangrijke doelpunten te maken. Echter, door blessures of andere redenen kan het zijn dat hij niet beschikbaar is voor de halve finales van Euro 2024.
Ray Parlour, die zelf meer dan 10 jaar voor het Engelse nationale team speelde, gelooft echter dat Engeland nog steeds genoeg kwaliteit heeft om zonder Grealish de halve finales te bereiken. “Natuurlijk zou het een groot verlies zijn als Jack niet beschikbaar is, maar Engeland heeft een diepe selectie en veel talent om uit te kiezen,” aldus Parlour. “Er zijn spelers zoals Phil Foden, Mason Mount en Jadon Sancho die kunnen opstaan en het verschil kunnen maken in zijn afwezigheid.”
Parlour benadrukt ook het belang van teamwork en tactiek in het bereiken van succes op een groot toernooi. “Voetbal is een teamsport en het gaat niet alleen om individuele spelers. Bondscoach Gareth Southgate heeft bewezen dat hij in staat is om het beste uit zijn spelers te halen en de juiste tactieken toe te passen om wedstrijden te winnen,” zegt hij.
Met een mix van ervaren spelers zoals Harry Kane en Raheem Sterling en jong talent zoals Bukayo Saka en Jude Bellingham, heeft Engeland alle ingrediënten om ver te komen op Euro 2024. Of Jack Grealish nu wel of niet beschikbaar is voor de halve finales, het team zal er alles aan doen om geschiedenis te schrijven en hopelijk de finale te bereiken.
