Antony was named MVP for a second game running for Real Betis but Manchester United’s on-loan winger was unhappy after his side threw away a two-goal lead against Celta Vigo.
The Brazilian was named the game’s MVP last Sunday after impressing in Betis’ 2-2 draw at home to Athletic Bilbao.
And he continued an encouraging start to his loan spell on Saturday afternoon by scoring Betis’ opening goal in the 10th minute against Celta
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were two goals ahead by the break as Diego Llorente doubled their lead in the 22nd minute.
But a second-half collapse saw Betis concede three times without reply, with Williot Swedberg scoring Celta’s winner with three minutes remaining.
The defeat leaves Betis 10th in La Liga and with just one win in their last six games in all competitions.
Speaking after the full-time whistle, Antony urged his Betis teammates to ‘change mentality’ after allowing a two-goal lead to slip.
‘It’s very difficult to understand that we lost this match. We started very well, we went 2-0 up but we have to change our mentality,’ Antony told DAZN after the game.
‘We scored two goals, but we have to be focused throughout the match, the 90 minutes. We have to work to be better.
We have to change our mentality. We have to start well and finish well.
‘We have to work hard, look at what we are not doing well in order to get the three points in the next game.’
Antony, who joined United in an £86 million deal in 2022, was given the green light to join Betis on loan in the January transfer window.
As part of the loan agreement, Betis have agreed to pay 84 per cent of the Antony’s £200,000-a-week salary.

Sinds zijn overstap naar Real Betis heeft Martial laten zien dat hij nog steeds een van de beste aanvallers is in Europa. Hij heeft zich snel aangepast aan het spel van zijn nieuwe team en heeft al meerdere keren laten zien wat hij in huis heeft.
Zijn recente prestaties hebben geleid tot het winnen van de MOTM-award bij Real Betis, wat aangeeft dat Martial weer in topvorm is. De fans van de club zijn dan ook erg blij met zijn bijdrage en hopen dat hij nog veel meer mooie momenten zal brengen.
Het lijkt erop dat Martial eindelijk zijn draai heeft gevonden bij Real Betis en dat hij zijn teleurstellende periode bij Manchester United achter zich heeft gelaten. Met zijn talent en ervaring kan hij een belangrijke speler worden voor zijn nieuwe club en wellicht weer schitteren op het hoogste niveau.
