Organizers of the annual Ignite Megastars Players Audition, has expressed confidence European football clubs will jostle for future stars in the ongoing audition which kicks-off Saturday, April 5.
The audition known for its unique selection process, saw hundreds of youngsters trooping into the Legacy Pitch of the national stadium, Lagos. The starlets under the watch of ex-internationals and spectators, were pitched against each other to showcase talent at the preliminary stage.
With lots of display, the players were able to dazzled before cheer leaders who believed in their goals and prospects.
Speaking on the importance of the scouting program, founder, Ignite Megastar, Ozavive Daniyan stated the event will help expose, nurture and promote promising stars before European football clubs. Daniyan whose initiative was supported by the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), also disclosed her program will bring visibility to grassroots sport talent.

In her words: “I’ve been pondering this initiative during the days of my MBA program and I’m glad it’s yielding purpose. I have really planned big for this and I can assure you we’ll be cementing a relationship with top European clubs who will complete the process.”
“My vision is to change lives by discovering and promoting sports talent. I’m also creating a platform for recognizing and developing grassroots sports, with the goal of cultivating a vast pool of world-class athletes in the country. We’re also committed to maintaining integrity and transparency in sports talent identification and selection for youths between ages 16 to 19, allowing top talents to be discovered.
“ Beginning with football- Ignite Soccer Stars, will provide the opportunity to both male and female athletes to showcase their talent and rise to stardom, by partaking in the Ignite competitions and undergoing assessment through a transparent system of voting by judges, coaches and fans,” she stated.
Meanwhile, Co-promoter, Ignite Megastars, Engineer Oloyede Robert also lauded the initiative while giving kudos to the organizers. Oloyede however narrates its significant while applauding Italian side, Juventus for promoting three players from the maiden edition.
“Our first edition was massive for we were able to bring Juventus of Italy down here and this season we are willing we’ll have other sponsors and scouts who’ll further promote this players. We have partnership with different organizations capable of bringing the best out of the boys. This players are the future and if we want our football to grow I think we need come to the grassroots level,” he emphasized.
Na het succes van het eerste seizoen van Ignite Megastars, waarin jonge voetbaltalenten uit heel Europa de kans kregen om zich te bewijzen en een contract te verdienen bij een topclub, staat seizoen 2 nu voor de deur. Europese clubs zijn weer volop op zoek naar nieuw talent en zullen strijden om de beste spelers binnen te halen.
Ignite Megastars is een uniek programma dat jonge voetballers de kans biedt om hun dromen waar te maken en door te breken in het professionele voetbal. Het programma wordt geproduceerd door Ignite Sports, een toonaangevend sportmanagementbureau dat bekend staat om zijn innovatieve aanpak en succesvolle spelersbegeleiding.
In seizoen 2 van Ignite Megastars zullen scouts en coaches van Europese topclubs zoals FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern München en Manchester City op zoek gaan naar nieuw talent. De spelers zullen worden getest op hun technische vaardigheden, tactisch inzicht en mentale weerbaarheid. Alleen de beste spelers zullen worden uitgekozen om een contract aangeboden te krijgen.
