ABS have announced the reapportionment of Cameroonian-born Encho Anthony Encho as their new head coach.
Encho will take charge of the Ilorin club for the remainder of the season.
ABS sacked their former head coach Sani Sardauna last week following the team’s not too impressive run in the first round of the 2024/25 season.
The new gaffer promised to deliver the promotion ticket at the end of the season.
“I was in ABS before I did 50% percent and I am back to do the remaining 50% to complete 100 percent, my first mission is to take the team to the Super Eight and promote the team to the NPFL,” he said during his unveiling ceremony.

“Every coach has its own philosophy, I want to believe in myself and in my players and what I impact on the players. Let me remind you that there is a team in Lagos that was down in the NPFL before but now they’re up there so I don’t want my players to be distracted or discouraged by their position.
“I want them to have a positive mindset that they are going to the Super Eight and by the special grace of God we will achieve it”.
Encho will work will be assisted by Saliu Aremu, Salaudeen Adeyinka (Keshi) and Boyin Ayodele (goalkeeper coach)
ABS currently seventh position on the NNL Conference B table.
They will kick-off the second stanza campaign with an away game against Gateway United.

Na een korte afwezigheid keert Encho weer terug naar ABS FC als hoofdcoach. Encho, die eerder al succesvol was bij de club, zal nu opnieuw de leiding hebben over het team en hoopt opnieuw successen te behalen.
Encho staat bekend om zijn tactisch inzicht en zijn vermogen om spelers te motiveren en te inspireren. Onder zijn leiding wist ABS FC in het verleden al meerdere keren hoge ogen te gooien in de competitie en zelfs kampioenschappen te behalen.
Met zijn terugkeer hopen de spelers en het bestuur van ABS FC dan ook opnieuw successen te behalen en weer mee te doen om de titel. Encho brengt niet alleen zijn ervaring en kennis mee, maar ook zijn passie voor het spel en zijn toewijding aan het team.
De fans van ABS FC zijn dan ook verheugd met het nieuws van Encho’s terugkeer en kijken reikhalzend uit naar wat de toekomst zal brengen onder zijn leiding. Met zijn ervaring en leiderschap hopen zij opnieuw mooie momenten te kunnen beleven en successen te vieren.
Encho zelf is ook enthousiast om terug te keren naar de club waar hij eerder al zoveel successen heeft behaald. Hij kijkt ernaar uit om weer aan de slag te gaan en het team naar nieuwe hoogten te brengen.
