Kano Pillars Technical Adviser, Usman Abdallah, has exclusively told Completesports.com that he has rejected the club’s request for him to resume work after serving just one week of his three-week suspension.
The former Enyimba and Katsina United gaffer told Completesports.com on Thursday that he is in no hurry to return to his duty post until he has served the full duration of his suspension. He also wants the issues surrounding his suspension resolved to restore normalcy.
“I was asked to return to my duty post just a week after the suspension order, but I said no— let’s wait until the three weeks are completed,” Abdallah told Completesports.com.

Abdallah was handed a three-week suspension following an altercation with a section of Kano Pillars FC supporters.
“I said no because it’s important I stay out until the suspension elapses. I believe that within that period, the dust raised by the incident would have settled.”
The 50-year-old tactician, who previously managed Enyimba and Katsina United, has also coached EPS FC, FC Sète, FC Frontignan, and Bollène FC in France.
The UEFA B and UEFA A Licence holder further hinted that this group of fans has a history of harassing coaches whenever results do not favour Kano Pillars.
“They did the same thing to some former coaches of the club – coaches like Salisu Yusuf, Abdu Maikaba, and Musa Ibrahim,” Abdallah added.

“I’ve coached clubs like Katsina United and Enyimba, and I never experienced such behaviour.
“So, I think it’s best for me to stay out until the management resolves the issues regarding this behaviour towards a coach.
“Kano Pillars won away to Rangers, and the heavens didn’t fall. We also won at Bendel Insurance, and the stadium roof wasn’t pulled down – everybody, including their coaches, went home safely.
“Why should it be different here just because we played a draw at home?,” Abdallah queried.

De Nigeriaanse voetbalbond heeft geprobeerd om Abdallah terug te roepen naar Nigeria om de schorsing uit te zitten, maar de coach heeft hier geen gehoor aan gegeven. Hij heeft aangegeven dat hij zijn team niet in de steek wil laten en dat hij de schorsing wil voltooien nadat hij zijn team heeft geholpen om succes te behalen.
Abdallah heeft aangegeven dat hij het belangrijk vindt om zijn team te blijven steunen en dat hij niet wil weglopen van zijn verantwoordelijkheden. Hij heeft ook benadrukt dat hij hoopt dat de bond begrip zal tonen voor zijn beslissing en dat hij hoopt dat ze hem zullen steunen in zijn streven om zijn team naar succes te leiden.
Het is duidelijk dat Abdallah vastbesloten is om zijn team te blijven coachen en dat hij bereid is om de consequenties van zijn acties te aanvaarden. Het is nu aan de Nigeriaanse voetbalbond om te beslissen hoe ze hiermee om zullen gaan en of ze Abdallah zullen steunen in zijn beslissing om zijn team niet in de steek te laten.
